Like the camera but am worrying about the security of it. I have other wifi cameras that don't require a special "sync module" like these do. Despite blink trying hard to justify the need for it there doesn't seem to be any reason given that makes sense. Today my camera started overheating so I went to the app and deleted the camera and all settings but left the batteries in. about 15 minutes later my network monitoring app notification says that the same blink camera was trying to access my wifi network, which I did not authorize. I removed the batteries and will be returning the items.

The mountings are not sturdy enough. It is just enough to hold the camera, but I am worried this would not last long. The plastic material could have been a bit thicker & stronger. The camera holder does not have a lock. The camera will pop out of the holder with a light push with your finger. I have to put a tape to prevent it from falling out.

Camera One:
I mounted the camera, and within a few minutes the locking mechanism loosened and my precious NEW Blink fell on the concrete floor. Up the ladder I go, snap it back in and it falls off again. Third time, I snapped the camera in and taped the camera to the housing with electrical tape.

Camera Two:
I thought I learned my lesson with the electrical tape. I screwed the arm of the mounts to the brick, snapped in the camera into the body and screwed it the body into the arm and patted myself on the back. Done.
Couple of hours later I go out to check my camera, and its on the driveway.

The mount has a push release locking mechanism to lock/release the camera. But, for whatever reason the mechanism releases and the cameras falls.

Based on my experience, i would not recommend this product.

Don't buy this product...as per product description battery should last for a year...its not even a three month since I bought this product and its asking me to change a battery. I did kept the default setting just to avoid any issue but still its not helping with battery life....Simply a wrong description to sell the product.

Also there is 5 to 10 seconds delay in live streaming so whatever you see on screen thinking its live streaming is already happened 5 to 10 seconds ago....what is the point of live streaming if you not getting notification immediately. Delay in live streaming has nothing to do with wifi network as well...I did tested using different location and wireless settings.

Buy something else which is more reliable in terms of security.

These have a much greater adjustment range than the XT2 wall mounts included with the cameras. My only regret is the camera case can be popped out of the weatherproof housing without any tools whatsoever. Hopefully no nefarious criminals catch onto this detail. I didn't have any trouble tigthening these up enough to lock in place.

I had no issues setting up the screwed in swivel bracket and placing the Blink XT2 into the holder, then attaching the holder to the swivel bracket. The swivel made it easy to point my camera precisely where I needed it and then lock it in so it is sturdily held.
I also very much appreciated the simplicity and ease of set up for the Blink Sync module wall socket holder. Utilizing their shorter power cord and the bracket helped place the Sync module neatly in a spot that was secure, safe from bumping and tidy in appearance.
UPDATE: I did hear from the manufacturer on how to adjust these current (gen 1) mounting holders to accommodate the IR light and enable better night time vision. I will try to show the results once completed.

I installed it quite easily. The only downside to it, and that's why I didn't give it a five stars, but a four, it's that the ball that fits in the mount is not easy to tighten, and even when tighten to the max without breaking it, it's still not very tight and can move if I add a little pressure. But overall, I do recommend this product!

really easy to set up. great wide angle view. crystal clear video. took 5 minutes to set up. I recommend buying a mounting kit as it helps protect the camera from severe weather. video is consistent and reliable. great price for an easy set up quality system. place high up as the cameras are easy to steal. night vision is good. the two way audio is great but keep in mind there is a 3 second delay.

This is a great little inexpensive camera. I bought it to monitor my home while it was being repaired and I was living in temporary housing a few miles away. I have multiply cameras so I can monitor both entrances and several rooms inside where work is being done. The XT2 is not designed to provide continuous streaming since it is battery powered. I have my cameras setup to record for 10 seconds when triggered by the motion sensor and waiting 1 minute before re-arming. This setup optimizes battery usage. I also have a couple of Blink-minis installed that are AC powered and can stream for long periods if necessary. Bottom line is if you are looking for a security camera that records everything all the time, this camera is not for you. However, if you just want to be notified when an event occurs at one of your cameras so you can investigate further, this camera system is all you need. Although the company claims a 2 year battery life on the XT2, I don't think you should expect that kind of performance if you are constantly recording video and not using it as a passive device.

The mounts for the Blink camera system were marketed on Amazon as Blink Camera Mounts, however, looking closer in to the details this is a third party mount and not affiliated with Blink in any way. The hardware used in these were very cheap and I have two screws stuck in my house after the screws sheared off after going half way in the siding. All that being said, it still isn't the worst part of the product. If you look at where the Blink camera's infrared light emitter is located, it is not discernable in the description of the product how much of the camera is covered by this 3rd party mounting system. So only after I set up an entire system with the mounts did I realize that evening that the 3rd party mounts covered the IR emitter completely and the cameras will not go in to night vision, which defeats the purpose of having security cameras in the first place. I will now have to back and put more holes in my house to use the original brackets that came with the Blink system, if I cannot find something with the same screw pattern that won't cover the camera. It is pretty frustrating that they will not reveal this in the product description. They seem to be good mounts and cases other than the fact that they completely ruin your system. But if you only want to have a security system for the day time, this is the system for you.

These swivel mounts are actually a nice addition to the blink cameras. I just received them. They are all mounted in place and were easy to install. What I am seeing is there plastic and the little plastic hooks on the face to remove the camera to change battery are very tiny and plastic. I can see in the future these little tiny hook tabs breaking. Then to use them you would have to tape them on. To get the cameras in the housing box you have to force them in by letting the plastic box simply flex until it slides in place. Going in is not too bad but getting them out requires some force (which eventually will break the box im sure) There a new product to the blink camera system. I foresee future upgrades to the mounts. There going to break, But as I said all in all they take a stationary camera and give it adjustability which is nice

The idea of these mounts is cool but the quality is horrible because it's mainly plastic

the weight of the blink camera has caused them to move even after tightening them down as much as possible without stripping the plastic threads

The camera slides into a housing that is pushed in to the main housing instead of screwed into so if you accidentally push it in while adjusting it will fall out
